It's that time again! Then end of a month, (ok, so I'm a day behind...) time to recap my favorite things from October!
** Progress in the basement! Like the kind that you can really see! Paint, tile, trim, doors, and even a few home made items of furniture by Daniel. Here's a sneak peak:
** Spending time with Grandparents! Daniel's Grandparents visited us for a long weekend and we had a blast with them!
** My new red door! It makes me smile every time I drive up to the house!
** The movie Now You See Me. We watched it a few weeks ago and then again last night. It's really good!
** All the BEAUTIFUL leaves! I have to force myself to keep my eyes on the road when I'm driving. The colors are just stunning around here! Speaking of - remember to be taking pictures of what fall looks like in your neck of the woods and come back here next week for

Adventures in Like: September Favorite Things
Oh, September, you are my favorite month! I mean, what's not to like! The beginning of fall, cooler weather, pumpkins, mums, changing colors of the leaves, apple cider, pumpkin spice everything...well, personally I think some people have gone a bit overboard with the pumpkin spice flavors. But I still love September.
Here are some September 2013 favorites:
* Getting to pick some tile for the basement bathroom
* Apples! Especially Honey Crips Apples.
* Giordano's now has Gluten Free Pizza - Daniel was very excited about this discovery this month!
* This Lip Sync-Off video....Have you seen this! So funny!
(I totally do not say awake late enough to watch The Jimmy Fallon Show, but we have been watching some of the clips on Hulu.com and oh, my, they are funny!)
*Watching Football! (Even though my Vikings are *ahem* not doing the best thus far this season).
* My "front of the house fall make-over" - but you will have to come back tomorrow to see it!

Adventures in Favorites: August 2013
Oh, August....where did you go?!
To kick off Labor Day weekend, here are some of my favorite things that happened in August:
~ Peach picking at Spring Hope Farm with my man
~ Winning an awesome give away by Stacy at Make-Up Obsessed Mom (more about that coming soon!)
~ Discovering a new, amazing, yummy brand of gluten free bread! It's called Local Oven and I just can't say enough good things about their products.

Hamburger buns, baguettes, pita pockets, hot dog buns, bread crumbs...all gluten free! And so yummy!
~ MasterChef ~ Are you watching this show? Because you totally should! Fox, Wednesday nights. It's down to the final 4...I'm still not sure who I want to win this season. Maybe Jessie...
~ Learning from the great Pioneer Woman how s'mores should really be made...
As much fun as August was, I am TOTALLY ready for September and fall.
I LOVE FALL!

Adventures in Favorites: July 2013
Some months I have a hard time coming up with things that have been my favorite...but July 2013 seemed to be FILLED with things that I have been just loving! So let's get started:

1) Princess Kate and Prince William's new bundle of joy Prince George ~ Ok, confession: I am completely fascinated with the Royal Family! I got up in the middle of the night to watch William and Kate's wedding with some friends. I have scoured the internet for Kate's baby bump pictures - she is just gorgeous and always so classy. For days I checked every morning to see if there was news of the Royal birth. So exciting! What a beautiful family!
2) Boat rides on the Mississippi ~ In mid-July we got to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Minnesota, and they took us on a wonderful pontoon ride on the Mississippi River. It was beautiful, fun, and so relaxing. There is no way my camera skills could capture the beauty of this area...
3) Drywall in the Basement listening to Pandora 50's rock n roll ~ We like to listen to music while working in the basement (and maybe sing a long a little!), but after a while the same songs get a little boring, so I found a new favorite Pandora station - 50's Rock'N'Roll! It makes drywall-ing a little more fun!
4) Farmer's Market Wednesday ~ I love Wednesday mornings and TONS of fresh produce...so yummy! Daniel and I get up extra early so we can hit up our local farmer's market right when it opens, before going to work.

My favorite is the fresh, green lettuce!
5) Blueberry Picking @ Tammen's Treeberry Farm ~ Can you overdose on antioxidants from blueberries?? Because I've probably eaten about 3 lbs of blueberries in the past week - they are just so good!
6) Tiger Sauce ~ Daniel's cousin introduced us to this sauce. And we have been LOVING it. It's a cayenne pepper based sauce that adds flavor and a little kick, but does not melt off all of your taste buds with flames of fire. We like to use it on meats mostly, but have heard of other people using it on veggies and even pasta dishes! I am not a girl who likes spicy foods, I buy mild salsa at the store, but I have been LOVING this tiger sauce - perfect for a summer BBQ!
What have you been loving this July?!

Adventures in Favorites: June 2013
It's the end of another month and that means it's time for
Look at this beautiful and excited bride! The day was perfect!
(you can see more pictures HERE)
~ $1 any size Dunkin' Doughnuts iced coffee in the afternoon! Several times a week I scrounge up $1.07 in change from my car cup holder to get a cool treat!
{source}
~ Remember when I got bangs earlier in June?! Well I have been LOVING this Orofluido Beauty Elixer to tame the unruly hairs in the humid weather. This stuff smells AMAZING and leaves my hair shiny without weighing it down. LOVE IT!

~ My favorite part of the whole month has been getting back to work on the basement!! We finally had some progress and I could do a June Basement Update!
Hopefully in July, my favorite thing will be drywall in the basement!!

Adventures in Favorites: Summer Grillin'
One of our favorite things to do, pretty much any time of the year, is grill.
Daniel especially LOVES anything related to grills and BBQ.
He has built several grills and smokers,
including this one...
So when we feel like a good steak dinner, I just run to the meat market and get some great steaks
like these...
And we make ourselves a little feast!
like this one we had last night:
Steak (fillet for me, ribeye for D), mashed potatoes, and farmers market fresh asparagus.
I would have to say THIS is my favorite meal.
What are you grillin' this summer??
(sharing this on Rachel's blog for Favorite Things Friday!)

Adventures in Favorites: April Favorite Things
Good Morning Friends!! Between our vacation at the beginning of the month, and all the crafting for the So You Think You're Crafty competition I'm in, the month of April has FLOWN by! Here are a few of my April "favorites"!
(1) Finally, at the very end of April, it is starting to feel like spring! This is pretty much my favorite thing to see on the weather forecast!! Not to hot, not to cold, not to sunny, and not to cloudy. PERFECT!
Today
75°
Partly Cloudy
(2) With the warmer weather comes the blooming of my FAVORITE tree ~ the Magnolia tree. They grow all over in my area and have the most beautiful pink blossoms. They are just stunning!
(3) Que Bella Beauty is a new line that I discovered at Target!
Super affordable, and super fun to pamper yourself or a friend!
(more about this new favorite product in a few days when I reveal what I got from Taylor@ Pink Heels Pink Truck in my Pamper Me Pretty Box!)
(4) Cornmeal from Papa - this is my favorite brand of corn meal, and I can not find it anywhere around here.
When we were in South Carolina at the beginning of the month, Daniel's Grandfather loaded us up with a stash...which I am rationing carefully!
My favorite thing to make with it is GF Cornbread!
(Is it totally crazy that I have a favorite brand of corn meal?!)
(5) My new (to me) crafting shelf!!
It was my craft for last week's theme of Upcycle on So You Think You're Crafty, and I TOTALLY love it! The shelves have chalkboard pain on the edges, so I can label and re-label where I want things on the little shelf. You can read more about how I made it HERE.
(6) Crafting in general has been my favorite this month. I have LOVED being in the So You Think You're Crafty competition (and I hope to continue for a few more weeks, if I don't get voted off!!) and I have gotten to make some new, great crafts that have just been so fun!
This week's theme is "Duct Tape."
So every project is made using...
Duct Tape!
(This was the hardest round for me yet!)
Do you have any April favorites??

Adventures in Favorites: February (I can't believe it's over!)
How is it already March!?
Since yesterday was the last day of February,
I thought I would share some things I have been loving this month:
This snack
Have you tried the cracked pepper olive oil flavor? I have always enjoyed the original Triscuit cracker, but I could eat the whole box of these. They go perfect with a little piece of muenster cheese on top!
This nail color
It's called "I Mainely Eat Lobster"
It is a little ironic that I like this color so much because
I don't like to eat seafood of any kind!
I just think it is the perfect spring color.
It is a little more orange than the picture makes it look,
and it has a slight sparkle to it. Love it!
AND
This Guy
He is always my favorite!
