Adventures in the Basement: Tile and Trim

Well, it's been quite a while since I've posted any kind of update on
So I thought today I would show you what we have been working on lately!

The new basement bathroom has been coming along slowly buy surely.
After starting the shower wall tile, we decided to hire a professional to help finish the project, and we are happy with that choice. Sometimes DIY projects just need the touch of a pro!

The tile is installed, and ready to be grouted, hopefully this week sometime...

but first I have to pick a grout color...It's so hard to pick!

I'm so excited to have it grouted and the hardware installed. See the little pipe sticking out of the tile in the ceiling, next to the light bulb in the picture below? That's where the rain shower head is going! I'm so excited!!

Other projects in the works are:
Trim around all the windows and doors.

And Daniel has been building the vanity for the sink in the bathroom. Since the size was not a standard cabinet size, he decided to make one rather than special order one.

Hopefully soon I will be able to reveal a finished bathroom!!
