Adventures in Firsts: My First Blue Grass Concert

Last night I did something I thought I would never do...
I went to a blue grass band concert.
AND IT WAS AWESOME!
If you have never heard of Link Union, think of the VonTrap family (they are all brothers and sisters - and the mom and dad) meets Duelin' Banjos - in a good way! They were amazing and there was not a foot in the in the building that wasn't tapping at some point and Daniel could barely contain his 'yeee-haaaw' for most of the evening.
This is just a little taste of their music. They even did some Irish music! We were both mesmerized by their fast flying fingers on the different instruments. There is a list of the places they are playing on the website, and if they are playing near you, I would tell you to GO! You will love it!

Off to go work in the basement!
Have a happy Saturday!

  2. There is a bluegrass festival up here that it is a pretty big deal. Next year we are going to camp there. So family friendly and most of the bands have big families and profess their faith in Christ. There are even teaching areas for the kids to learn about God. It was a lot of fun.
