Adventures in Blogging: All About Me

I have been thinking about doing a post to let you know a little more about me. Well, the other day Callie @ Through Clouded Glass tagged me in a "All About Me" post. So I am playing along. 


Here are the answers to Callie's questions:
1. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This is hard because there are always new albums coming out that I love. At the moment I am listening to Kari Jobe non stop! Her new album Where I Find You is awesome!
2. If you were a teacher, what subject would you teach?
Well, I am a teacher! Well, I was officially for 2 years. I taught 4th grade and LOVED that age (but unfortunatly not the school). I would also love to teach History - it is like story time :)
3. What is your favorite verse and/or quote?
Where to start. Well, all of Philippians 4 to start with :) I would have to say that is one of my favorite chapters of the Bible.
4. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging about a month ago as a way to share my thoughts, ideas, creations, and recipes.
5. What is one book you think everyone should read (besides the Bible, because that's a given)?
Anything by Sarah Sundin. I am on our libraries waiting list for her newest book Blue Skies Tomorrow
6. Favorite drink to get at Starbucks?
I worked at Starbucks so I got to try all the drinks. In the summer I like the passion ice tea with lemonade. In the winter I order a grande latte with 2 pumps of white chocolate mocha and 2 pumps of gingerbread syrup. It tastes like a frosted gingerbread cookie. yum!
7. Would you rather it snow or rain?
SNOW!
8. Advice that your mom gave you that you never forgot?
When I was having a particularly rough time back in college my mom gave me a picture with Psalm 37:4 on it. I think of this verse all the time. To delight in the Lord at all times.
9. Most read website or blog (besides mine, of course . . . *wink, wink*)?
The Pioneer Woman
10. One thing you would tell your 13 year old self?
Forget about finding 'the perfect guy' he will find you :) Just wait for the right time.
11. What do you hope people will say about you after you die?
I hope people will say that I was a virtuous mother and wife, and that I reflected the love of Jesus to all. 


11 Random Facts about me...
1. I still read the Little House on the Prairie books. I read them all when I was younger with my mom. I remember getting to order them one at a time from the Scholastic Book Order at school. Every once and a while I pick one up and read a few chapters. I totally want to be Laura!
2. My favorite sport is swimming. (If you know me in real life, you know this already!) I have been a swimmer since I took my first lessons as a baby with my mom. I joined the swim team when I was 5 years old, and from age 5 to 23 I swam competitively. I pretty much have chlorine in my DNA! Since graduating from college I have not gotten to do as much swimming, but lately I have been making it to the pool at least once a week.
3. I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. I can read music, thanks to being in choir. And I played the french horn in 5th and 6th grade. I love watching pianist hands.
4. If I could meet anyone (who is alive) I would want to meet The Pioneer Woman. 
5. My first car was a 1996 Honda Civic. I wish I still had it, it was a great little car! It was a manual transmission, so I know how to drive stick.  
6. I am a early to bed girl...like 9:30 p.m. 
7. I LOVE the movie The Sandlot. (haha, just thinking about it makes me laugh! Such a great movie! Anyone want s'more?)

9. My favorite fast food restaurant is Portillo's
10. I hardly ever remember my dreams (Daniel ALWAYS remembers his dreams!)
