Here is where the bathroom and office/extra bedroom will be.
This is where our family room will be (is your imagination getting a good workout!?)
They got a little more than a third of the way across the big part of the basement. This is the first of the 3 new support pillars that we installed. Remember when we were pouring the base for these pillars back in July? If you don't, that is what we were doing {HERE}
This area is going to be our master bedroom. I took the picture standing in the future walk in closet!.
You may have noticed a plywood wall in the back of some of these pictures. That is where the new laundry room is and where the heat exchange and controls for the radiant heat are going.
Those orange tubes handing down from the ceiling are the radiant heat tubes for the first floor. They go against the underside of the subfloor and aluminum sheets go over them to disperse the heat from the hot water in the pipes. In the basement the orange tubes will be inside the new concrete floor.
Well, that is what we did this weekend (and will be doing next weekend as well!)
What did you do this weekend?
Oh boy, extra motivation to get it dug out! It's looking great and I can tell you're really going to enjoy that new basement!
