1. Summertime is a season of reunions, weddings, and other family celebrations and gatherings...are any of the above on your calendar in the next two months? Yes, they are on the calendar, but unfortunately we will not be able to attend (boo!) because they are all out of state and we just can't make the trips right now.
2. June is National Iced Tea Month...are you an iced tea drinker? If so, how do you like yours (sweet, flavored, etc)? I love a glass of my mother-in-law's sweet tea! But I have to stop drinking it at about 3 p.m. or else the caffein keeps me up at night!
3. When were you last nervous? Looking back, was the 'event' actually nerve-worthy?
Watching Nik Wallenda tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon. Without a net. DID YOU SEE THIS?!
Holy Moly! This is crazy!!
Even knowing that he made it safely across, this made me SO nervous!!
4. The bristle toothbrush was invented in China on June 26, 1498...not sure how that date was pinned down so precisely but, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being sick to your stomach and 1 being not at all, how nervous do you feel when you're headed to the dentist? Do you see your dentist twice a year? I've never had any issues with the dentist. I know I should see the dentist twice a year...but I don't.
5. What's making news in your town this week? Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup. Watching hockey is exhausting! I'm glad they won in 6 games and didn't have to play a 7th game.
6. Curtains, drapes, blinds...your window treatment of choice? Are there any bare windows in your house? Is that by choice or because you haven't gotten around to covering them? We have blinds in the front room, curtains in the bedrooms, and nothing in the back rooms at the moment.
7. Summertime is officially here (in the Northern hemisphere anyway)... what one song is a must-have on your summer playlist? Hummm....there are some fun summer songs...my favorite song to turn up loud in the car right now is Fall Out Boy "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark".

We drink decaf sweet tea!!
ReplyDeleteMy hands are sweating just typing this comment about that walk. Makes my stomach churn still, even though he's safely home. Ka-ra-zy!!
ReplyDeleteWe started finishing a basement in a previous state, but then my husband was transferred, so we never got to see the finished product! And, we didn't have to actually "dig" the basement. What an ordeal!!!
ReplyDeleteI purposely did not watch the tightrope walker - because I know I would have been too stressed out! Crazy guy!! I am glad he made it. Would the cameras had kept going if he fell?
ReplyDeleteI forgot the Skywire thing was on... & I'm glad I did.. I was so nervous when he did it across Niagra Falls!!!
ReplyDeleteI love iced tea! Most of the time i like unsweetened but depending on what i am eating then i would want it a little sweeter.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Minnesota too, still here in fact. It must be fun seeing the progress on your basement. Have fun finishing it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet the town is celebrating that Stanley Cup win!! Remolding and renovating, hard work but so worth it when it is finished :)

I switch to decaf iced tea 'round about 1:00. It's a bit of a pain to have two pitchers of iced tea in the refrigerator, but it beats a sleepless night (I have enough trouble falling asleep as it is!!).
ReplyDeleteIf my Blues couldn't win the cup (as if!), I'm glad that the Hawks did ... our neighbors are from Chicago and were rooting for the Hawks and I'm still a fan of Joel Quenneville.
Sorry you have to miss those trips. ((HUGS)) I'm originally from Chicago but we don't normally watch the games but I did see that one and it was awesome!
