Adventures in Decorating: Finding a Deal

One of my most favorite things is fining a great deal!
Are you with me?!
Last week I was looking for a new pair of dress black shoes for work
(cute ones that I can wear all day and not have my toes feel like they are breaking off,
I didn't find any, suggestions?)
and I wondered into TJ Max.
I didn't find shoes.
But I did find this beauty..
I loved the colors and style right away.
It is real heavy duty, and I knew just where I would put it!
I told myself if it was less than $10 I could buy it. So I turned it over and....
YES!
Welcome to your new home beautiful platter.
(Totally already had the potted plant with the matching pot!)

Have you found any great deals lately?

  1. That is a deal! I love the colors on that platter. We have to paint our house {inside} this summer and I've wanted to do that blue. But, that would mean getting new furniture. Sigh...if only budget wasn't an issue!

    Blessings to you.

  3. TJ Maxx, along with Marshalls, and I have a love/hate relationship. I love to go in, but my bank account hates me when I leave! I do love this platter, though!

    Have a great weekend :)

  4. I'm with you!!!

As for the shoes, I'm about 50% on Naturalizer; 1/2 I end up loving, I could do without the other half. Aerosoles, same thing. I love a deal, but I don't try too hard for shoes. Shoes are the one thing that I'm willing to pay dearly for. For comfortable dressy work shoes I suggest Danskos, Artisan Clarks or Born maybe? We've got a great shoe store here in Faribault, I even did a post on it one time.

  5. I do the SAME thing....tell myself a price that I will buy it for. :) Usually, though, its more than what I wanted to pay. It's SO fun to find a good deal though.
