This time last summer we were digging.
Every day after work, every weekend, digging the basement deeper...

One year later we have a new floor, new walls, and are working on mudding the drywall

More than once over the past year we have had people tell us we are crazy for taking on such a big DIY project...and more than once WE have thought we are crazy for taking on such a big DIY project! But over the past year we have discovered lots of little ways survive our project and even enjoy getting to work together on it! It looks like everything is moving along pretty well! My parents renovated both of the houses I grew up in. It's a lot of work, so I give you props for tackling such a big project. Good luck!
