Adventures in Blogging: Me, Myself, and I September

I discovered this super sweet blog last month just after her link up ended,
so I wanted to make sure I got to join in this month!
Here are my answers for the
1) When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
There are lots of things that I like to do if I am feeling down...Pinterest, make some chocolate pudding (and eat it!), makes something crafty, get a hug from my hubby, but to be honest the first thing that came to mind when I read the question was calling my Grandma (and not to be a Debbie Downer) but I cant do that anymore because she passed away this summer. She would always cheer me up whenever I called, and there have been several times in the past few months I really wished I could call her...Oh, shoot! Now I need some chocolate pudding and Pinterest time!

2) If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
Well, when I was a little girl I wanted to live in the l800's and be a pioneer like Laura Ingalls Wilder...but then I grew up and realized just how incredibly HARD of a life that was. And they didn't have deodorant - smelly! So now I would say the 1920's or maybe Ancient Greece...ok, I can't pick!

3) What is the most creative Halloween costume you've ever worn?
I don't know if it was the MOST creative, but my FAVORITE Halloween costume was from 3rd grade. Each student in my class had to research a historical figure and dress up as them for Halloween to give a speech about them. I was....you guessed it, Laura Ingalls Wilder. My Grandma Nona made the best dress for me, with a bonnet and everything.

4) Five weird things about you we wouldn't know without being told?
ummm....(1) I always sneeze in even numbers...never just one sneeze, always two or more. But always an even number. (2) I would rather spend an evening snuggled on the couch with my hubby than out being social. (3) I am horrible at any sport that involves a ball, bat, or racket. (4) I would rather swim a mile than run a mile. (5) I have a sister-in-law who is 4 years old, well, she is almost 5 now.

5) What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
I would tell myself to stop worrying about those silly high school boys and to just be patient for the perfect man - he is coming, but it will be a few more years. And he will be totally worth the wait!

  2. I have a brother in law that is 12. My mother in law and I were pregnant at the same time. I forget how weird that really is to others.

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma! I know how you feel, my dad passed away a few months ago and he always had so many great words that would cheer me up and snap me out of my mood when I was sad and now that part is gone, so it's really hard. It's an awful feeling.

I hope you're having a good day xox!
