1) What's a pet peeve you have when on vacation?
Well, this pretty much applies to every day of my life, but I hate when things do not go as planned. Especially when the airport is involved. I would like to fly at the time and to the place I purchased tickets to, please. Delays and other changes really make me frustrated.
2) Are you a light packer, or do you need everything in your closet plus the kitchen sink?
Ha! Both my father and my husband can attest that I am and have always been an over packer. I always take into consideration all possible weather conditions and moods that I may be in...shoes are the hardest, I always pack to many!
3) What's the best lesson a child has ever taught you?
When I was in high school, a child taught me that I have a great passion for teaching children and seeing their lessons change their lives. All from one swimming lesson student jumping off the diving board!
4) Share one piece of advice you'd give a recent graduate as they attempt to enter the job market.
Every position is as important as you make it. Do everything to the best of your ability, even if you think you are overqualified for the job. Everyone has to start somewhere.
5) What's your favorite lemon something?
Hmmmm...I would have to say Lemon Chicken
6) Flats, wedge, heals...what's your favorite footwear?
Well, here is a whole LIST of my favorite shoes, but at the top of the list are my Chaco flip flops.
7) What do you like best about a beach holiday? If you are not a beach lover (GASP!!!) what do you dislike the least?
I do love the beach. I love the views, the waves, and getting some sun. However, I do not like the sand. No matter how hard you try, it still gets into places sand does not belong!
8) Insert your own random thought here:
I have a mountain of laundry that needs to be done. But I am not doing any of it today! Happy Wednesday!
Hope you are feeling better. I find shoes the hardest thing to pack too. Next time you go to the beach pack a little baby powder. If you brush it on your feet the sand comes right off. Not that you are going to cover yourself with powder but at least it gets your feet ;)
ReplyDeletePacking for vacation is a challenge. I usually travel by myself so I don't want to have to be cumbered down with all sorts of bags, so I have found how to just use one carry on, and still be able to wear something different each day. Get some rest and be assured the laundry will still be there tomorrow.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you inherited the "over-packing" from me? I not only like to be prepared for anything & everything, but I also like to have options when I travel!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon, sweetie!!
Eat some chicken soup ~ it has healing powers : )
I'm an overpacker, too! I just want to be fully prepared for whatever might be thrown my way. I don't care for the sand, either. Just sticks to your skin and you find remnants of it even days after you return home. I am now following your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteOh...and feel better real soon!
ReplyDeleteLoved reading this post! Hope you start feeling better soon! And I wanted to let you know that I'm sending out your mug today so be on the lookout :)

Enjoyed your answers! So glad you joined us, and thanks for stopping by! Hope you get to feeling better. My daughter has had the same thing, and it just hit her all at once, she ended up with laryngitis with it.
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
I am gonna have to look up a Chaco Flip Flop...sounds like taco...hehehe! You are the first SAVORY lemon hodgepodge I've come across thus far. Sounds yummy. Hmmm..tacos and chicken...I must be hungry!
ReplyDeleteLoved your random thought. Take care of yourself first. Hope you feel better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with #1, the airport can be very aggravating.
ReplyDeleteLemon Chicken is a different answer for today, I think most people picked a sweet. I have learned to love the sand but it has taken me a very long time to get here.
I like to stay organized, so dealing with unplanned things on vacation drives me nuts!!! I felt your pain when I read your answer.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you joined the HP this week...I'm a little behind in reading but am getting there. I love lemon chicken too-forgot about that one. Hope you're feeling better!
