Adventures in Faith: Let Your Kingdom Come

Do you ever hear a song and just feel God speaking right to you?
Today, one of the worship songs we sang at church really spoke to me.
It was "Let You Kingdom Come" by Bob Kauflin.
Here are the words

Your glorious cause, O God, engages our hearts
May Jesus Christ be known wherever we are
We ask not for ourselves, but for Your renown
The cross has saved us so we pray
Your kingdom come

Let Your kingdom come
Let Your will be done
So that everyone might know Your Name
Let Your song be heard everywhere on earth
Till Your sovereign work on earth is done
Let Your kingdom come

Give us Your strength, O God, and courage to speak
Perform Your wondrous deeds through those who are weak
Lord use us as You want, whatever the test
By grace we’ll preach Your gospel
Till our dying breath

Let Your kingdom come
Let Your will be done
So that everyone might know Your Name
Let Your song be heard everywhere on earth
Till Your sovereign work on earth is done
Let Your kingdom come

And if you have never heard the song, here is a version of it.

The whole song is great, but this time when we were singing it,
the 2nd verse almost brought me to tears.
"Lord use us as You want, whatever the test"
Thinking about those words.
Whatever the test.
God is going to use us.
God is going to test us.
His gospel will be preached.
Let HIS kingdom come.
Let HIS will be done.

  2. This is a song we have sung during worship and it is one that if you really listen to the words can be very sobering...but my prayer still is Lord use me as you want whatever the test
